Roads and Common Land Standing Committee

Well it is almost the end of February and I am hoping that everyone has survived the last snowfall.

I just wanted to touch base with a reminder to all that the Nicol Island Roads and Common Land Standing Committee is just that…..a committee. The physical labour that is required to complete the tasks of the committee is the responsibility of all lot owners.

Lately it seems that the committee is doing the planning and the work and it truly is a little unfair.

We appreciate all lot owners who make the effort to manage the roadside brushing in front of their properties and fill pot holes, but when it comes to the common or vacant lots we do need people to help out.

With our failed attempts to gather community members for a day of work we are now asking that if you see something that needs to be done, please do it! Fill a pot hole, clean the roadside for a vacant lot or even take downfall to the dump. We realize that people are busy so we are now asking that you fit it into your schedule. If you want more directed work please do not hesitate to contact John Matos the roads board director.
