Rossport

We would like to acknowledge our neighbouring community of Rossport. A beautiful community that is home to dining, vacation rental, hotel/B&B, gift shop, crafts persons and lake access to all size and shapes of water craft.

Between our communities is a beautiful sandy beach, rest stop/playground and several trail access points for the hiking enthusiasts

Schreiber/Terrace Bay

20 to 30 minutes East we enjoy the communities of Schreiber/Terrace Bay. Here we access amenities such as Fuel, Groceries, Health services, ATM machines and much more. The communities well known for their beautiful beaches, golf course and hiking.

Pays Plat First Nation

Pays Plat First Nation, known as Pawgwasheeng Ojibway meaning ‘where the water is shallow’, is a vibrant community currently located on the central north shore of Lake Superior 180km east of Thunder Bay. Pays Plat First Nation has been inhabited since time immemorial and has consistently exercised its Indigenous Rights over it’s traditionally occupied lands, which extend westerly from the Nipigon River, north to Highway 11, and east to the Marathon area up to the boundaries of Pic River First Nation.

Pays Plat amenities include a gas station and general store as well as the Boardwalk (Medicine Trail) that winds through the boreal forest along Lake Superior. It features three portals with panoramic views of the lake and interpretive signs about medicinal plants
